Durga Prasad Dhakal

Assistant Professor of Quantitative Technique

Department of Management Informatics and Communication (DoMIC), Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel

I would like to describe myself as a transformative education practitioner, committed, and always loves to update in my own field of study. I come from a society where failure is perceived as a step toward success. I also believe that a person's mathematical understanding can shape their lifestyle. I am always curious about how I can use my knowledge for the welfare of mankind.

My Teaching Journey

SINCE 2009

I have been teaching Operations Management, Business Mathematics, and Statistics since 2009

SINCE 2018

since 2018, have been teaching these subjects along with Stochastic Process as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Informatics and Communication (DoMIC), Kathmandu University.

How I Work

I can achieve equally good results whether I work independently or as part of a team.

Education & Research Interests

My primary research concern is to make mathematics curriculum practices more learner-centered, while my secondary focus is on optimization. I believe, my multidisciplinary academic background began with an ISc, an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, an MPhil in Mathematics Education, and an MBA supports these interests. Furthermore, I am enthusiastic to plug in my multidisciplinary background to the field of machine learning purposefully.
